Beginning in September 2019, Melissa Velasquez repeatedly contacted my wife regarding investing in Bitcoin through her. She repeatedly mentioned how rewarding and risk free it would be. After much speculation, my wife invested $500 with her. After a few weeks, she sent us a screen shot of our supposed profits. We then decided to invest another $500 with her. She then asked us to pay a mining fee of $950 before releasing our money. We told her that we didn't have the fee and had we known about it we would have not invested. She apologized profusely but begged us to "do the right thing" and pay the fee, which we didn't have. We asked for a refund of the total $1000 investment. She then blocked my wife on her Instagram account and ignored further requests to return our money.
