Steam support scam
Steam support scam
Sep 18th, 22
Someone from a mutual discord server approached me that they reported my account on steam and now both of us will now be banned. My dumbass believed that scammer and I was then put into contact with a 'steam support employee' that introduced himself as Matthew An (an actual steam employee that they were impersonating) and required me to transfer funds equal to around half my whole steam inventory. Initially it was via steam gift cards but then it was through bitcoin. I have lost around 1000 euros to this scam but I am currently still in contact with the scammer asking for 'updates' and notifying when I can add more money towards the deposit

scammer had me pay to this address:

1FegLsk3co3AkoBtMi5HidNZm4gpfErgmS

which sends to other addresses that instantly just transfers:

3L7ut9zatdVaYYfA4PzFvbYrCieWdP4Yax

which send to accounts such as:

3KuauMDo55mPCdyk5KYXvRboFffLHgSfU2
35Lj3e8hSzF5HF9sFN9WRVbtfqWfdLhixP

Which look like large transaction addresses that send money to smaller accounts with no transaction history.
