BitcoinWhosWho received multiple independent reports of scammers posing as Canada Revenue Agency “CRA” agents demanding payment of taxes in bitcoin. Tax payment deadline was yesterday in Canada.

Selected Victim Accounts
– Called saying it was the Canadian revenue agency claiming I would get arrested and that a warrant was out for my arrest if I don’t pay “x” amount within 45 minutes
– Scammers called on the phone and represented themselves as Canadian Revenue Agency and demanded to pay 5,000 dollars. They threatened with jail if not paid. Afterwards they send a QR code.
